Hawaii Day 2

Our first full day in Hawaii. We love being here! If it weren't for the kids at home I think we would stay here. Today we went to the Polynesian Culture Center. We drove around the island for a while as we had plenty of time before they opened at noon. We borrowed my dads GPS system but unfortunately left it in Utah. We got a bit lost which was okay since we had plenty of time being lost. We drove around and sat on a couple beaches. We were sitting on a beach close by the center and it started to rain a bit. We decided to drive to a restaurant that my family loves to eat at when they stay at my sisters house in Hawaii. We drove up to the Hukelau and walked in. The girl inside told us they were closing early that day and not serving lunch. By the time we went into the center, it was pouring down rain. We ate lunch and was hoping that it would past. It just continued to rain harder and harder. The information center said they expected rain the rest of the day. The center has a "Return for free within three day" plan so we decided that we were not going to stay and try to enjoy the center in pouring rain. We decided to start driving north, and in about 10 miles the weather was perfect. We stopped at Turtle Bay and walked around their beaches for a while. We spent about 2 hours there and decided to head back to the PCC and see if it was still raining there. We were so glad to see that the rain had mostly past. We quickly went through most of the Island centers and ate at the luau. We had so much fun at the luau. The food was so good and we were sat with two other couples from Canada. We had tickets to the Horizons show but we were way too tired to stay for the show and then drive back to Waikiki. By the time we got back home we were glad that we didn't stay because we were exhausted when we got back. The time change has been hard the first couple days.
