Bonneville Salt Flats

Janies parents are in town. We always have a great time when they are in town and we usually try to get out and show them different parts of Utah. They have always wanted to go out to the salt flats in western Utah. We have always tried to put it off and show them something a little more interesting than a barren wasteland of salt. This time we decided to take the drive out there and see it.
Just like we thought. A barren area of crusted salt. Although I must admit, it was alot more interesting than i thought it might be. We spent about half an hour out there looking and running around on it. One of the most interesting things were the mirages in the distance that looked so much like water was covering the ground. We then went out and drove on it. We didnt put the MDX to too much of a speed test. It was different driving out there and felt like we were driving much faster than we actually were.
